Trentacinque cuccioli ce l’hanno fatta, per altri 16 però non c’è stato nulla da fare, sono arrivati in Italia già morti. E’ questo l’orrore che il corpo Forestale ha scoperto e bloccato nei giorni scorsi a Napoli. Si trattava di un traffico illecito di cuccioli, senza microchip e documentazione, che arrivavano dall’Ungheria ed avevano trovato nel porto di Napoli il posto ideale per un vero e proprio commercio illegale di esseri viventi. Per fortuna questo traffico è stato interrotto ed i responsabili arrestati.
I cuccioli sono stati affidati alle cure dell’associazione divenuta loro custode giudiziaria, che vuole garantire a questi cuccioli un’adeguata vita relazionale in una famiglia idonea: le richieste per accoglierli possono essere inviate compilando il form su www.lav.it.
Questo l’annuncio della LAV che ha accolto gli animali recuperati. Questi erano scharpei, bull terrier, spitz, cavalier king, labrador, maltese, barboncino, carlino, shitzu, terranova, jack russel, pinscher e bulldog, alcuni dei quali bisognosi di cure mediche.
I responsabili di questo crudele traffico, che ricordiamolo è costato la vita a 16 cuccioli solo in questo “carico”, e chissà quante vittime ci sono state in passato, ora rischiano fino ad un anno di carcere ed una multa tra tremila e 15 mila euro. Inoltre la pena può essere aumentata se si tratta di cuccioli di età inferiore ad un anno, ma questo lo deciderà un veterinario chiamato ad effettuare una perizia.
Il distacco prematuro del piccolo dalla madre può metterne a rischio la sopravvivenza e il normale sviluppo psicofisico, tanto da essere giustamente censurato dalla legge. Il tutto è spesso aggravato dai lunghissimi viaggi che portano questi animali dall’Est Europa fino in Italia, da precarie condizioni di trasporto, dallo scarso rispetto delle norme a tutela della loro salute e perfino falsificando i documenti sanitari: questi animali sono purtroppo trattati come merce e non come esseri viventi che necessitano di cure e di tutela
