Nella puntata si parla delle politiche cinesi, della tecnica estrattiva del fracking ma anche dell’Italia e del progetto Rhome, vincitore del Solar Decathlon Europe 2014. Nella terza puntata della trasmissione condotta da Luca Mercalli abbiamo invece un approfondimento dedicato ai ghiacciai e all’innalzamento del livello degli oceani, ma si parlerà anche dell’acidificazione delle acque e di filosofia ambientale, con ospite in studio Serenella Iovìno, docente universitaria a Torino e autrice peraltro dell’interessante “Ecologia letteraria – Una strategia di sopravvivenza” e di “Filosofie dell’ambiente – Natura, etica, società”.
L’ultima puntata a oggi andata in onda su Rai 3 di Scala Mercalli, ovvero la puntata di sabato 21 marzo 2015, si intitola invece I gradi della crisi ambientale e presenta un approfondimento su eventi climatici estremi come tornado, cicloni tropicali, alluvioni e nubifragi ma anche siccità, esplorando i rapporti esistenti tra i cambiamenti climatici in atto e questo genere di fenomeni naturali. In studio ospite il professore di pianificazione urbanistica Paolo Pileri e la speleologa membro della Protezione Civile Daniela Pani, che parleranno del problema dell’abuso di suolo e della cementificazione, nonché delle peculiarità del territorio del nostro paese dal punto di vista idrogeologico, approfondendo anche l’ottimo esempio olandese del piano Delta di buona politica per fronteggiare le conseguenze dei mutamenti climatici in atto sul nostro pianeta.
