Se dobbiamo comprare un nuovo elettrodomestico ci troviamo a scegliere fra mille modelli ma a seguito di una scelta accurata possiamo optare ad un modello dal costo attuale più elevato ma che ci porterà ad avere presto più vantaggi in termini di risparmio energetico.
Spenderemo oggi di più per il loro acquisto ma ammortizzeremo ben presto la cifra spesa grazie ad un minore assorbimento energetico.
Dobbiamo innanzitutto fare attenzione all’etichetta, oggi obbligatoria su forni, lavatrici, condizionatori, che ha il preciso scopo di informarci sul consumo di energia dell’apparecchio.
L’elettrodomestico principale delle nostre case è sicuramente il frigorifero che per la sua natura di conservare correttamente gli alimenti, necessita di stare sempre acceso, e i dati ci dicono che il consumo di energia per congelatore e frigo copre infatti il 22% di quello totale per uso domestico.
Le classi energetiche previste sono sette, abbinate alle lettere dell’alfabeto dalla A alla G, ma a queste sono state aggiunte, dal 2004, altre due classi per i frigoriferi che segnalano la massima efficienza: A+ ed A++.
Il consumo di energia dell’elettrodomestico viene espresso in Kwh all’anno e per una classe A++ risulta essere del 63% rispetto ad un caso standard italiano considerato in classe D; mentre per una classe A+ si avrà un risparmio rispetto al caso standard del 55%.
Possiamo poi rivolgere la nostra attenzione anche ai nuovi vani congelatori con sistema “no-frost” dove la surgelazione è molto più rapida rispetto al congelatore tradizionale.
Il consumo di questi ultimi apparecchi è sicuramente più elevato rispetto a quello dei frigoriferi a freddo statico,
ma le prestazioni in termine di conservazione dell’alimento sono ben diverse.
