Lodevole e degno di plauso il progetto che Eni ha voluto portare avanti nella raffineria a Venezia: una vera e propria conversione, da raffineria tradizionale a bioraffineria, con l’obiettivo dichiarato di trasformare i materiali immessi nel circuito di lavorazione in biocarburanti di altissima qualità e sostenibilità.
La produzione è ora realizzata sulla base di materie prime selezionate, altamente biologiche. L’impianto è alimentato da oli vegetali, ai quali verrà presto affiancato l’utilizzo di biomasse la cui produzione non entra in competizione con quella dedicata agli usi alimentari, per la salvaguardia del territorio. Nella bioraffineria di Venezia vengono prodotti oggi: green diesel, green nafta, GPL e, se richiesto, anche jet fuel.
L’intero sviluppo si muove intorno al progetto Ecofining™, applicato alla produzione della bioraffineria ed interamente realizzato dai tecnici Eni con la collaborazione di Honeywell-UOP.
Da oltre due anni, l’impianto produce un nuovo tipo di green diesel, che ha permesso il lancio sul mercato del nuovo l’Eni Diesel+, che consente una forte riduzione delle emissioni inquinanti grazie ad una componente bio-rinnovabile del 15%.
Quello della raffineria a Venezia è un esempio unico al mondo e merita di essere pubblicizzato e reso noto al grande pubblico, per l’idea fortemente ecologica del progetto, per gli standard eco-compatibili imposti, e per l’impegno profuso per l’innovazione e l’introduzione di nuove tecnologie sostenibili a lungo termine.
Inoltre, la conversione ha creato un nuovo modello aziendale di riqualificazione, che ha permesso di tutelare il personale già impiegato in raffineria, creare nuovi posti di lavoro ed evitare la costruzione di nuovi impianti, in quanto realizzati grazie al restyling di vecchie strutture.
Grazie alla qualità del lavoro svolto, domenica 27 novembre 2016, Eni ha organizzato delle visite guidate dello stabilimento, della durata di un’ora, inserite nell’Open Factory 2016, uno dei più interessanti opening nazionali di cultura industriale.
Eni, ancora una volta, ha dato prova di grande solidità e di volontà di innovare, rimanendo di diritto tra le grandi eccellenze italiane nel mondo.
