Anche l’Italia dà il suo contributo all’ecologia da strada, e la fa con il nome più autorevole nel campo dell’auto, colui che per anni ha disegnato i veicoli migliori, tra cui molti modelli Ferrari, e cioè Pininfarina. Al Motor Show di Parigi presenterà il nuovo modello di auto elettrica progettato in Italia.
I pezzi dell’auto però non saranno tutti nostrani. Infatti la batteria sarà francese, progettata dalla compagnia Bollorè. Il modello definitivo sarà progettato per avere quattro posti, un incrocio tra l’auto presentata da Pininfarina al salone dell’auto di Ginevra nel marzo scorso (Sintesi) e il Boxy Blue Car inaugurata dalla stessa Bollorè due anni fa.
Il progetto prevede la costruzione di 2000 automobili entro il 2010 da commercializzare in Europa, Giappone e America. Il piano industriale prevede che, se dovessero avere successo, si passerebbe alla vendita di altre 6000 auto entro la fine del 2011, fino ad arrivare ad un totale di 15000 per il 2014.
A differenza di altre auto elettriche o ibride che usano il nickel o le batterie al litio, l’auto di Pininfarina userà i polimeri di litio per le batterie, progettate proprio dall’azienda francese. Queste batterie sono rivestite di alluminio e monitorate elettronicamente per mantenere alta l’efficienza operativa delle schede, la tensione e la temperatura sotto controllo. La velocità massima promessa sarà di circa 130 km/h ed un passaggio da zero a 50 all’ora in 4,9 secondi. La batteria, garantiscono, avrà vita per circa 200 mila chilometri, e per ricaricarla pienamente basterà attaccarla ad una semplice presa nel muro per 8 ore.
Ancora non ci sono conferme ufficiali, ma pare che il nome dell’auto sarà proprio Pininfarina, forse per riconoscenza verso la famiglia del progettista italiano che ha salvato l’azienda, quasi in fallimento, acquisendone il 55% con un esborso di quasi 150 milioni di euro, facendo diventare il vecchio proprietario, Vincent Bollorè, un semplice azionista.
Sono curioso di vederla su strada, di vederne le prime prove, sembra davvero un’auto molto interessante!
