Come per la frutta e la verdura a km zero, il senatore Pd Roberto Della Seta, propone in Senato un disegno di legge per il pesce a miglio zero. Obiettivi? Ridurre la pressione di pesca nel Mediterraneo, dove l’82% degli stock ittici sono sovrasfruttati; sostenere i piccoli pescatori che compongono circa due terzi della flotta italiana; e rilanciare il settore della pesca attraverso una riduzione dell’IVA per tutti quei pescatori che vendono a meno di 70 km dal porto di residenza.
Per ora si tratta di un disegno di legge, ma l’idea del senatore Roberto Della Seta trova già molti consensi tra gli ambientalisti e i volontari delle maggiori associazioni di settore, come Greenpeace, Legambiente, Marevivo, Wwf, Ocean2012 e Legapesca che sostiene principalmente la proposta di incentivazione dei piccoli pescatori italiani. Se per alcuni il raggio di vendita del pesce a miglio zero, ossia 70 km dal porto di residenza, è ancora troppo elevato c’è da dire che oggigiorno non vi sono alcune limitazioni nella vendita del pesce e che spesso quello che arriva sulle nostre tavole non è pescato in Italia. In modo molto positivo è vista l’introduzione di un marchio di qualità per i prodotti ittici a miglio zero, certificazione che attualmente penalizza il nostro Paese. Come spiega Della Seta
L’Italia che pure vanta il numero più alto di prodotti a marchio europeo Dop e Igp, oggi ha due soli prodotti ittici protetti, meno del Regno Unito, della Germania e della Francia. Per un Paese come il nostro che ha tradizioni di pesca e di alimentazione basata sulla pesca importanti, questo è un dato paradossale un marchio specifico di qualità per i prodotti a miglio zero può aiutare a superare questa evidente anomalia e a migliorare le prospettive di tante piccole aziende di pescatori.
