Dal primo gennaio 2010 i motorini euro zero non potranno più circolare a Roma. Per sapere a quale classe di omologazione ambientale appartiene il vostro mezzo, dovrete consultare il carta di circolazione o il certificato di omologazione tecnica che accompagna il vostro veicolo. La circolazione dei veicoli a due, tre o quattro ruote marchiati da questa sigla sarà infatti bandita nella capitale per arginare lo smog e ridurre le emissioni. A renderlo noto è stato un comunicato diffuso dal Comune:
Dal primo gennaio 2010 ai ciclomotori e ai motoveicoli a due, tre e quattro ruote, con motore a quattro tempi ‘euro 0’, non conformi alla direttiva 97/24/ce, sarà vietato l’ingresso e la circolazione all’interno della ztl dell’anello ferroviario.
Ci sono tuttavia delle eccezioni a questo divieto che riguardano:
i ciclomotori e i motoveicoli classificati di interesse storico-collezionistico iscritti ai registri riconosciuti dal nuovo codice della strada e quelli adibiti al trasporto di persone diversamente abili.
Questi veicoli potranno infatti circolare, insieme a quelli dei residenti all’interno della ztl dell’anello ferroviario, ai quali sarà consentita la circolazione fino al 30 giugno 2010. Lo scopo di questa misura è duplice: diminuire l’inquinamento ambientale sulla città e incentivare i cittadini a utilizzare gli eco-incentivi del ministero dell’Ambiente per liberarsi dei veicoli troppo inquinanti e dotardi di mezzi nuovi, più ecologici, che consumano meno e producono anche meno emissioni di gas serra. Sempre nella nota, il Comune spiega i motivi del provvedimento:
Il provvedimento, a difesa della salute pubblica, dà seguito al processo di contenimento degli agenti inquinanti prodotti dal traffico veicolare, già avviato per ciclomotori e motoveicoli nel 2007 con la restrizione alla circolazione di quelli dotati di motore a due tempi ‘euro 0’. Il rispetto della misura adottata e la progressiva sostituzione dei vecchi veicoli contribuirà a ridurre sensibilmente la produzione di polveri sottili e di ossidi di azoto.
