Sono 14 le persone arrestate del Consorzio Venezia Nuova per fatturati falsi, appalti non regolari e controllo delle aste pubbliche, 100 gli indagati per l’inchiesta che riguarda anche il MOSE, il MOdulo Sperimentale Elettromeccanico per la difesa della città dall’acqua alta, più di 140 le perquisizioni fatte dalle Fiamme gialle nell’inchiesta che vede coinvolte le grandi imprese italiane di costruzione.
L’inchiesta delle Fiamme gialle ha messo in moto più di 500 militari dell’arma tra le regioni Veneto, Lombardia, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Toscana e Campania. L’indagine ha fatto scattare le manette per 14 persone tra le quali l’ex presidente del Consorzio Venezia Nuova, Giovanni Mazzacurat. Tra questi 7 sono agli arresti domiciliari e 7 con obblighi di dimora. 100 sono gli indagati in tutto ma l’indagine va avanti. Sono molti i capi d’accusa che fanno capo al Consorzio Venezia Nuova, vanno dal fatturato falso, al controllo delle aste pubbliche e agli appalti irregolari. Ricordiamo che il Consorzio vede collaborare le principali grandi imprese di costruzione italiane che hanno ottenuto la concessione del Ministero per le Infrastrutture per il monopolio degli interventi di salvaguardia della città di Venezia di competenza dello Stato.
Tra i piani di riqualificazione e risparmio energetico, salvaguardia dall’acqua alta e dal turismo di mass, vi è il sistema MOSE che è già stato finanziato per 4.934 milioni di euro con denaro pubblico. Il costo totale del sistema di sbarramento della città dall’acqua alta è di 5.493 milioni ma con il fermo dei massimi dirigenti del Consorzio, la chiusura dei lavori, probabilmente, si può stimare a fine 2016. Il neo presidente del Consorzio, concessionario per il Magistrato alle Acque per la costruzione del Sistema MOSE, Mauro Fabris poche ore prima che l’inchiesta venisse resa pubblica dichiarava che l’Italia crede nel MOSE, che il Sistema rappresenta “l’orgoglio italiano che può rinascere” e che per la sua realizzazione
