Terzigno, rientra l’allarme limoni mutanti

I comitati contro l’apertura della nuova discarica di Terzigno dovranno trovare un altro logo. L’inquietante limone Frankenstein, dai deformi tentacoli ritorti su se stessi,  che ben fungeva da icona ed emblema della “natura morta” o peggio arrabbiata e del rischio ecologico rappresentato dalla discarica, è stato scagionato.
Si ricorda che il limone in questione è stato raccolto da Maria Rosaria Esposito, attivista contro la discarica, da una pianta che da venti anni produceva nel suo giardino e a detta di lei “ limoni gustosi e normali”.

Successivamente il limone-quasimodo è stato ritratto, come monito di congedo, nell’ultima slide  proiettata durante il convegno sulle malattie da inquinamento dell’Associazione Medici per l’ambiente tenutosi nella nella sala Consiliare di Terzigno. Il limone è stato poi portato all’attenzione della comuntà scientifica locale che lo ha “tenuto in osservazione” nell’ansia degli abitanti.
Finalmente è provato che quello stesso limone, assurto a prova inconfutabile e terribile della natura che si ribella con raccapriccio, non è il prodotto di una mutazione indotta dall’inquinamento bensì di una normale reazione alle punture di un acaro (come i più informati avevano già tentato di rassicurare).

Dunque un piccolo aracnide e non qualche radioattiva sostanza sversata in grembo al suolo ha provocato la brutta morfologia del limone. Questo il responso dell’analisi del dipartimento di biologia dell’Università Federico II di Napoli a far cessare la caccia alle streghe. Nei laboratori di fitopatologia gli entomologi ( Prof. V Ottavio Soppelsa ) hanno accertato la presenza sul frutto dell’Acaro delle meraviglie (Eriophyes sheldoni).

Luciano Gaudio, direttore del Dipartimento di Scienze Biologiche, nell’intervista rilasciata al Corriere del Mezzogiorno del 7 novembre per rassicurare gli abitanti di Terzigno, vede l’occasione per sottolineare il paradosso insito nella psicosi dell’allarme limone.  Gaudio ammonisce:

Siamo abituati a vedere cose perfette, ma non consideriamo che proprio per questo almeno un 20% della frutta viene scartato: un peccato. Un altra parte entra in linee di produzione diverse, come i succhi di frutta. Eppure chiunque abbia un orticello sa che spunta il pomodoro lungo, quello più corto, quell’altro con la punta storta.

L’acaro delle Meraviglie (nomen omen) attacca prevalentemente piante non trattate con fitofarmaci. Al di là dell’importanza della modifica del frutto che lo rende immangiabile, quella stessa mostruosità è garanzia del biologico. Al contrario quei frutti lucidi, perfetti, costantemente presenti tutto l’anno, sono da temere! Frutti della nefasta azione dei fitofarmaci che distruggono gli ecosistemi, rendono la primavera silenziosa, e smorzano il sapore. L’allarme da “Citrus chimicus” è prova ulteriore della deformata percezione che si ha diffusamente della natura, ancorquando la si vuole strenuamente difendere.

  5. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  28. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
