Chi sono i principali responsabili dell’inquinamento? Secondo i dati dell’Elaborazione Ispa su dati della Commissione Europea del 2014 gli italiani hanno le idee chiare in merito: per l’80% dei connazionali, infatti, principali responsabili dell’inquinamento sono aziende e industrie.
Stando alle informazioni, in materia ambientale le paure più sentite dagli italiani riguardano l’inquinamento dell’aria (56%) e dell’acqua (51%), seguiti dall’impatto sulla salute delle sostanze chimiche presenti nei prodotti di uso quotidiano (41%) e dal costante aumento dei rifiuti (40%). Come dicevamo, l’80% delle persone intervistate indica le aziende e l’industria come principali responsabili dell’attuale situazione, a cui fanno seguito le istituzioni nazionali (70%) e i cittadini stessi (69%).
Si tratta di dati interessanti perché se da un lato mostrano il livello di coscienza dei singoli (quel 69% che riconosce come inquinatori i cittadini stessi, assumendosi quindi le proprie responsabilità), dall’altro evidenzia chiaramente che la percezione che l’impegno ambientale di industrie e aziende per l’italiano medio è negativa.
Questo comporta che le aziende e le industrie devono lavorare sodo per ricostruirsi una “buona reputazione” ecologica andando al di là del mero (e pur necessario) rispetto di leggi e regolamenti ambientali per riportare in attivo il loro bilancio sociale e affermarsi come soggetti economici che perseguono sì il proprio interesse ma contribuiscono anche a migliorare la qualità della vita della società in cui sono operano.
