Giornata delle oasi WWF: ricorre domenica 22 maggio la consueta iniziativa dell’associazione del panda Festa Oasi per sensibilizzare i cittadini alle meraviglie naturali protette presenti nella penisola.
In occasione della ricorrenza le porte delle oltre 100 oasi, di cui 40 boschi, saranno aperte gratuitamente all’ingresso del pubblico con numerose iniziative per trascorrere qualche ora immersi nella natura, a contatto con una bellezza incontaminata sempre più rara da incontrare fuori dai confini limitati delle aree protette.
Osservazione, escursioni, visite guidate ed un tema speciale, quest’anno, il 2011, dedicato in tutto il mondo alle foreste: la salvaguardia e la tutela dei boschi, un patrimonio di vita ed equilbrio immenso.
Il WWF ha promosso una raccolta fondi, già in itinere ed attiva fino al 29 maggio prossimo, per salvare i boschi più minacciati d’Italia. 
Inviando un sms da cellulare al numero 45507 si donano due euro e si partecipa all’iniziativa ecosolidale Una nuova oasi per te per salvare i boschi di Marzagaglia in Puglia, insidiati da tagli e strade; le aree boschive vicine alla Riserva Naturale di Valpredina, sulle Prealpi bergamasche, habitat di ben 50 specie di uccelli minacciate dall’estensione del territorio di caccia e dai bracconieri; il bosco umido di Foce dell’Arrone, sul litorale laziale, su cui incombe la minaccia dell’urbanizzazione selvaggia.
Domenica sarà un’occasione importante per conoscere da vicino lo scrigno di biodiversità minacciato da incendi, inquinamento, cementificazione: dai fenicotteri alle farfalle, dalla foreste secolari alle orchidee, dai cervi sardi alle lontre, un paradiso di bellezza naturale che le oasi contribuiscono a difendere e tutelare, a preservare inalterato, a proteggere. Un ruolo cruciale per la salvaguardia degli ecosistemi, degli habitat e della diversità biologica.

Alle ore 15:00 la Palestra KRISTAL FITNESS di Fregene e “Programma Natura” presentano: “LO SPORT SOSTIENE LA NATURA”. Minimaratona nell’oasi con tutti gli istruttori della palestra. Aperta ad adulti e bambini con premiazione finale.
Ore 18:00 evento speciale per anticipare i festeggiamenti dei 25 anni dell’oasi di Macchiagrande e augurare a questo “angolo di natura” un futuro sempre più ricco di successi.
