Il meeting che vedrà protagonisti i ministri dell’ambiente degli otto Grandi, per l’Italia l’onorevole Stefania Prestigiacomo, affronterà in primis i temi caldi dei mutamenti climatici e della conservazione della biodiversità, ma non mancheranno proiezioni, mostre, esposizioni ed eventi collaterali patrocinati dal Ministero dell’Ambiente per il G8 Ambiente.
Il programma dei lavori e delle manifestazioni che animeranno il capoluogo siciliano è disponibile on-line. Ma oggi vogliamo parlarvi in particolare di RestArt, una delle tante mostre prevista in apertura dei lavori e dedicata agli artisti del riciclo, simboleggiati magistralmente proprio dall’enorme scultura in alluminio che verrà esposta nella centralissima Piazza Duomo.
Ma J. Seward Johnson Jr. è solo uno dei tanti rinomati geni creativi che esporranno le loro opere in quel di Siracusa. Con lui c’è il celebre HA Schult, famoso in Europa per essere stato il primo ad affrontare artisticamente gli squilibri ecologici con i suoi trash people, figure ad altezza d’uomo create utilizzando materiali provenienti dagli scarti industriali e dai rifiuti urbani, opportunamente compressate. La sua mostra avrà come location il piazzale della Fonte Aretusa sul porto grande di Siracusa.
C’è poi la mostra del Cracking Art Group, composto da sei artisti che hanno dato vita ad una nuova forma di arte (cracking indica il processo dal quale si trasforma il petrolio in virgin nafta, materiale alla base della plastica), esporranno delle tartarughe, simbolo del G8 italiano, realizzate con materiali riciclati.
Infine, come non citare anche la mostra di opere d’arte di Erika Calepini, che utilizza per le sue creazioni vecchie biciclette.
Insomma di eventi artistici e culturali questo G8 ambiente non è certo carente, per conoscerli tutti visitate il sito dedicato al vertice del Ministero dell’Ambiente.
