Siamo lontani ancora dall’avere una Ferrari vera e propria alimentata da un motore pulito, ma questo può dirsi forse il passo in avanti migliore effettuato fino a questo momento. In occasione del concorso INVfactor anche tu genio, gli studenti di tutta Italia si sono sfidati con nuovi modelli di veicoli ecologici del futuro.
L’invenzione che ha destato maggior scalpore è stata la Fuel Buster, una piccola auto ibrida, solo 3 metri per 90 cm di altezza e dal peso di 96 kg, alimentata da un pannello fotovoltaico e una cella a combustibile idrogeno. Un’auto sicuramente interessante, ma che è emersa tra le altre perché aveva uno sponsor che non passa inosservato, la Ferrari.
A realizzarla infatti sono stati gli studenti dell’I.P.S.I.A. “A. Ferrari” di Maranello, la carena del mezzo ricorda molto quella utilizzata in Formula Uno, ed è stata testata sul circuito di Fiorano, dove fanno i test Massa, Alonso ed il resto della squadra. Non una novità, dicono i docenti, visto che l’istituto sta lavorando da 15 anni su modelli di auto a zero emissioni.
Il concorso non poteva che essere vinto da questo gioiellino della tecnologia, ma anche le altre concorrenti sono da tenere in considerazione per il futuro della mobilità sostenibile. Al secondo posto della graduatoria stilata dalla commissione dell’Irpps-Cnr a cui partecipavano giovani dai 15 ai 19 anni, si è piazzata l’invenzione dell’Istituto tecnico industriale “Galileo Galilei” di Bolzano e Klaus Marsoner, un giovane che, a seguito di un incidente stradale, è rimasto colpito da un grave handicap. Quest’invenzione non è proprio ecologica, ma è sempre funzionale e molto importante per la sicurezza. Si tratta infatti di un cuscinetto ortopedico per disabili per facilitare la guida, battezzato “Softline”.
Tornando sulla sostenibilità su strada, i riflettori si spostano sul terzo gradino del podio dove si attestano i ragazzi dell’Istituto tecnico industriale statale “G. Riva” di Saronno che hanno inventato la bicicletta solare SYV. Questo mezzo a due ruote ha un pannello solare installato che assiste la pedalata per chi deve percorrere diversi chilometri e non può contare solo sulla propria resistenza. Può così usufruire di un motore brushless (motore elettrico a magneti permanenti) e batterie agli ioni di litio che garantiscono una velocità di 25 km/h per un’autonomia di circa 40 km.
Novità ecologiche provengono anche dal premio “Creatività femminile”, assegnato al Liceo Scientifico Salutati di Montecatini Terme. Le allieve hanno realizzato una scarpa da ginnastica (chiamata Hermes) in grado di convertire l’energia meccanica del movimento in elettricità da utilizzare per dispositivi portatili come iPod o cellulari. Il futuro dell’Italia pare essere decisamente verde.
