L’ultima rilevazione di Legambiente ha infatti dimostrato che non c’è più un Nord che fa bene ed un Sud che cerca di inseguire per quanto riguarda l’attenzione alla gestione dei rifiuti, ma mentre al Sud i Comuni virtuosi sono rimasti all’incirca sempre gli stessi, quando non sono calati, gli altri del Nord che prima non stavano attenti a questo aspetto si sono adeguati, demarcando maggiormente la separazione.
Il dato del 2012 conferma comunque la predominanza del Veneto, ma con un neo. Mentre la Regione settentrionale è quella che fa registrare il maggior numero di Comuni che superano il 65% di raccolta differenziata, questo numero è calato di più di cento unità rispetto allo scorso anno, passando da 381 a 256, portando così la media regionale al 61,3%. Inoltre sempre il Veneto ospita il Comune più riciclone d’Italia, Ponte nelle Alpi in Provincia di Belluno, che ha fatto registrare l’incredibile record dell’87,7% di raccolta differenziata.
Secondo posto per il Friuli Venezia Giulia che peraltro ha il Capoluogo di Provincia più attento a questa pratica, Pordenone, che ha fatto registrare il 77,5%, seguito dal Trentino Alto Adige e dalla Lombardia. Al Nord male solo la Liguria che non raggiunge nemmeno l’1%. La maglia nera però non va al Sud ma al Centro Italia in cui solo poco più del 5% dei Comuni fa registrare un tasso di raccolta differenziata superiore al 65%. Di quest’area fanno bene solo le Marche sesta Regione d’Italia, mentre sono pessimi i risultati di Lazio (1,6% con Roma che incredibilmente continua ad aprire discariche) e Molise (o,7%).
Il Sud non ha mai brillato, a parte qualche eccezione come Salerno e la sua Provincia, ma quest’anno ha fatto registrare persino una piccola flessione con una cinquantina di Comuni ricicloni in meno. La Calabria e la Puglia infatti fanno registrare il record negativo italiano rispettivamente con 0,2 e 0,4% di totale di raccolta differenziata e solo la Campania ottiene misurazioni ottimali, superiori anche a quelle della Toscana e dell’Emilia Romagna.
