Il Corpo Forestale dello Stato ha indetto un concorso fotografico aperto a tutti gli studenti, in occasione dell’anno Internazionale della Biodiversità. I ragazzi dovranno trasformarsi in sentinelle della Natura e fotografare gli animali più curiosi, belli e simpatici avvistati o quelli su cui vogliono ricevere informazioni.
Tutte le fotografie saranno inserite nel portale web mappa la natura e andranno a completare una carta geografica d’Italia, divisa per regioni e habitat d’interesse. I piccoli fotografi degli scatti più originali, valutati da una giuria esperta, saranno invitati alla festa nazionale del Corpo Forestale dello Stato che si svolgerà a Roma in ottobre, e parteciperanno alla realizzazione di una storia sulla biodiversità che uscirà su Topolino.
L’iniziativa che coinvolge tutti i ragazzi con un’età compresa tra i 4- 12 anni, è piaciuta molto a Giancarlo Galan, ministro delle Politiche agricole alimentari e forestali, che così ha commentato il progetto “Mappa la Natura”
La Biodiversità è uno dei valori cui dobbiamo tenere di più perché, quando non diventano scelte ideologicamente orientate, il tema della Biodiversità rappresenta una materia universale. Dobbiamo insegnare alle giovani generazioni che la biodiversità è un valore da rispettare, da valorizzare e da promuovere perché vuol dire vita e sopravvivenza.
Il concorso fotografico indetto dal Corpo Forestale dello Stato, nato con l’idea di salvaguardia e monitoraggio delle specie animali locali, è stato patrocinato dal Segretariato Sociale della Rai e da Topolino, il settimanale per ragazzi della Walt Disney Company. E’ una trovata molto intelligente per stimolare i ragazzi all’osservazione della natura, per renderli partecipi di un grande progetto, e anche per realizzare una grande mappatura della fauna locale. Il materiale inoltre potrà essere utilizzato nelle scuole durante le attività formative costituendo un interessante archivio fotografico.
