Questa data fatidica si aggira attorno ai trentanni ma in alcuni casi può cogliere anche prima o dopo, tutto dipende se la donna in questione è una manager in carriera (ed in questo caso si può arrivare ben oltre i trenta) o una dolce donzella che ha concluso solo gli studi superiori e ormai lavora come segretaria da più di cinque anni (in questo caso il desiderio materno può cogliere anche prima dei venticinque…).
Ma c’è chi in tema di date è stato più preciso: una ricerca pubblicata dal Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism ha scoperto che il modo più preciso per capire a che punto è l”orologio biologico’ (ovvero il tempo che ancora rimane per poter concepire prima di entrare in menopausa) di una donna è osservare i livelli di un particolare ormone chiamato anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH). La ricerca ha portato all’individuazione delle lancette del tempo all’interno del corpo femminile, quelle che regolano l’ora, ovvero il momento, in cui inizierà la menopausa e la donna non sarà più fertile.
Per questo studio i livelli di Amh sono stati misurati in 44 donne in salute e non ancora in menopausa, e i dati sono stati usati per elaborare una funzione matematica che legasse il tasso di questo ormone, che è legato al numero e alla presenza dei follicoli ovarici, con l’età biologica. La funzione risultante é stata usata per predire l’età di menopausa di 3384 donne tra i 50 e i 70, e ha funzionato in tutti i casi! Questo perché secondo lo studio, sapere con esattezza quando arriverà la menopausa può essere utile nel programmare le nascite. Frank Broekmans dell’university Medical Center di Utrecht, in Olanda precisa

Mi preocupa un pochino questo fatto delle donne inncariera che figliano in “tarda” età; non hanno il tempo di conoscere (se non su trattati di pediatria) come allevare figli, anche quelli di parenti e amici, poi si trovano ad affrontare la situazione da manager con tutte le ansie e fobie che l’esperienza della carriera le hanno scolpito nella memoria: come faranno, i miei/o figli/o nel mondo che ho creato? Le ricerche (poche in verità) che hanno seguito mamme in carriera, dimostrano che sono donne piene di paure per il futuro stesso di loro mamme, e i figli crescendo metabolizzano queste paure. Devianze comportamentali? Vedremo…ma non parlo di serial killer o altre cose così degenerate, ma comunque di un comportamento non troppo sereno dei bimbi.
