Di modalità di automobili poco o non inquinanti ne parliamo da sempre. Ora però finalmente è arriva l’auto che tutto il mondo aspettava, e che finora aveva potuto osservare soltanto nei film di fantascienza: l’auto volante. E il bello di quest’auto (oltre a risolvere il problema del traffico) è che è al 100% ecologica.
Ad inventarla è stata la Moller int., una piccola azienda californiana composta da grandi cervelli. Gli ingegneri di questa azienda hanno voluto far diventare la fantasia realtà, e per farlo hanno costruito M400 Skycar, il primo modello reale di macchina volante.
Questa automobile ha la capacità di alzarsi in volo in verticale, senza il bisogno di grandi piste come quelle aeroportuali. Essa è piccola e agile, praticamente non la si può nemmeno accostare ad un aereo. L’ideatore di questo progetto è stato l’ingegner Paul Moller, un appassionato di veicoli volanti che è stato in grado di progettare il suo primo elicottero all’età di 15 anni. La sua auto assomiglia ad una macchina sportiva (e il colore rosso forse non è casuale), in cui l’unica differenza consiste nei quattro motori laterali piuttosto ingombranti che servono per alzarlo in volo e direzionarlo. La cabina di pilotaggio è fatta in plexiglas, sul modello dei jet militari.
Al momento questa automobile garantisce una velocità di oltre 300 km/h al livello del mare e di 600 km/h a 7000 metri d’altezza. Il segreto del suo motore è la capacità di generare una grande quantità di energia in poco spazio. L’energia sfruttata è quella del vento, che viene usato in un certo senso come veniva utilizzato nell’antichità per guidare le navi, ma solo quando esso è in volo. Per azionare le turbine e farlo alzare in volo, il carburante utilizzato è l’etanolo, uno dei combustibili meno inquinanti in assoluto. Inoltre l’etanolo utilizzato è mischiato con l’acqua, e questo permette di ottenere maggiore sicurezza in quanto, in caso di perdita di carburante o nel caso in cui l’auto precipiti, l’etanolo non prende fuoco, limitando così i danni al solo veicolo.
Per guidarlo non ci sarà bisogno di una patente da pilota, perchè il sistema di stabilizzazione è elementare, e quindi si guida come un’auto qualsiasi; e non ci sarà nemmeno bisogno di essere miliardari, dato che il costo previsto per il 2009 sarà di “soli” 100 mila dollari circa per il modello M200X Neuera (più piccolo, con prestazioni ridotte, e che somiglia ad una navicella aliena), e qualcosa in più per lo Skycar. Ma alla fine il costo sarà all’incirca quanto quello dell’ultima Maserati o della Ferrari, quindi se volete spendere quella cifra, il consiglio è di preferire il cielo all’asfalto inquinante.

Si é fantastico é vero, ma ricordiamo che sempre la medaglia ha sempre la seconda faccia. Quando la nostra madre terra, nel tempo che sarà il futuro prossimo, si troverà invasa da viaggiatori senza confini in luoghi fino ad ora ancora salvi dal nostro tesiderio di avventura, chissà come reagirà ???
La tecnologia e il progresso sono delle cose favolose sono il primo ad esserne carpito, ma il tutto ci rende sempre più schiavi ed infelici per la nostra sete di avere sempre di più fino alla saturazione degli interessi umani.
Comunque é solo un pensiero rivolto al futuro, pensando al presente, sono il primo a desiderare un mezzo che mi dià la libertà di muovermi nell`aria senza restrizioni, cosa che oramai sulla terra ferma é stata drasticamente regolamentata per il bene comune.

io non mi preoccuperei tanto di madre terra, soprattutto se non le si arreca danno. La situazione attuale se vogliamo è anche peggiore. Le auto di oggi inquinano tantissimo e, dovendo stare attaccate all’asfalto, inquinano anche di più negli ingorghi cittadini. Le auto volanti non inquineranno e non si dovrebbero bloccare nel traffico. Secondo me una soluzione minore, favorevole anche alla Natura, non si poteva trovare

l’ing. Moller e’ dagli hanni ’70-’80 che crea dei prototipi di auto volante ed e’ oramai da diversi anni che le commercializza, quindi la cosa non e’ certo una novita’.
Non e’ certo ecologica; ci vuole molta piu’ energia per alzare da terra un determinato peso che per farlo avanzare su ruote. Quest’auto anche se l’etanolo inquina meno consuma tantissimo e quindi inquina di piu’.
Leggete bene gli articoli, qui non si dice che l’auto non brucia (bruca) ma che il carburante non crea danni bruciando altre cose o esplodendo. … certo che se ti dovesse cadere in testa o sulla casa x te sarebbero dei bei danni…

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
