Non vi chiederemo dove eravate l’11 settembre del 2001, credo ve lo abbiano chiesto già in tanti, un po’ come si fa quando si domanda: “Dov’eri quando l’Italia ha vinto il mondiale nel 2006?“. Di pessimo gusto, di nessuna importanza, quasi come fosse un gioco e la risposta è anche abbastanza scontata perché ovunque eravamo c’era sicuramente uno schermo acceso che stava trasmettendo in diretta l’attentato alle Torri Gemelle. Eravamo davanti ad un attacco terroristico efferato, ad una distruzione, furia e violenza senza precedenti, davanti alla morte. Oggi in tanti ricordano, come è giusto che sia, le vittime dell’11 settembre e lo fanno soprattutto con le immagini della morte, ripercorrendo le sequenze dello schianto degli aerei contro i due grattacieli. Noi vogliamo mostrarvi invece le Living Memorials, il ricordo delle vittime filtrato dal conforto della vita che rinasce dopo la tragedia, il ruolo ed il potere guaritore della natura, degli alberi, dei fiori, delle piante, nel lenire le ferite, ricostruire le macerie dell’anima, le sicurezze.

C’è chi ha trovato sollievo da depressione e stress post-traumatico nelle radici salde degli alberi, nel silenzio comprensivo e ristoratore di un bosco che ha cancellato quelle urla, quel dolore, nel vento che ha asciugato le lacrime, portato via la polvere delle macerie. Soprattutto, anche se spesso è un ruolo trascurato, la bellezza della natura, il trionfo della vita, è riuscito a mitigare quelle brutture, ad offrire ancora un senso, a spiegare un’esistenza implosa come le Torri, rase al suolo dalla devastazione di cui è capace solo l’odio dell’uomo. Non a caso, in quei giorni, e nei mesi successivi, ancora oggi, le persone che hanno vissuto quel drammatico evento continuano a piantare alberi, ad istituire parchi e giardini ed opere d’arte che raffigurano radici per ritrovare il senso della vita, il legame con la terra, riattaccarsi all’esistenza grazie all’unica forza in grado di resistere e di riprendersi da tutto: la natura.   2. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  23. Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
